This won't change a damn thing, but I'll say it anyway. You know why Goku said Gotenks was a "nasty gamble?" Because it was two kids who had never seen war - never been in a serious fight before - in their lives. They were completely inexperienced. The most serious fight they had was at the tournament; before that, they play-fought with each other and that was it. Suddenly they were the universe's only hope. Tell me that wouldn't be a nasty gamble.

How about this scenario... Your country starts a war with another country. The military has been utterly defeated and they turn to you to defeat the enemy country. The most combat training you've had is the 10-week basic training course. Would you consider yourself the best candidate for the job?

Same thing applies in the DBZ world.
I know that was what the gamble meant but I only say that Base Gotenks>SSJ3 Goku makes no sense wel I can agree with that but still stupid.
It is stupid and unfair, but that's how Toriyama wrote it. He obviously didn't care about logic. :p

Well, you have your facts to believe that. However it's not a fact since everyone can look at those statement and say Piccolo overrestimated Gotenks.
